We have different structures of how gift cards are handled between sites, across different implementations, and even the same implementation. Mid-term, we have a goal to be able to create a gift card module that'll allow clients to update the send date and receiver email of digital gift cards, but we can't achieve this currently, as we don't have a standardised approach for how to do this.
