We're removing an artificial delay that currently causes checkout to wait up to 20 seconds before confirming an order, even when the payment has already gone through successfully.

Once this is in place:

Payment confirmation will happen as soon as the payment is verified, with no unnecessary waiting

The "this is taking longer than expected" popup will automatically resolve and take customers straight to the confirmation page, rather than asking them to click Continue

Late payment callbacks (for example from 3D Secure flows) will be properly validated rather than accepted or rejected based on a timer

The net result is a faster, cleaner post-payment experience and fewer customers contacting support thinking something has gone wrong.
