You can now set a maximum number of free gifts a customer can receive from a single free gift promotion, giving you precise control over your promotional spend.

- A new "Maximum free gifts" setting is available on Free Gift promotions in the Promotions admin
- The cheapest qualifying items are made free first, up to the limit you set
- The default is 1, which matches the intended single-gift behaviour
- Existing live promotions will automatically default to 1 after this release, fixing any over-application without requiring reconfiguration

- Prevents a promotion from giving away more than intended when a cart contains multiple qualifying items
- Keeps promotional margins predictable and in line with your campaign design
- No changes needed to existing promotions for the fix to take effect
To offer more than one free gift per cart, update the "Maximum free gifts" field on the relevant promotion in the Promotions admin.
